A Dragon and a Princess

Chapter 6: The end of the tournament
Later that
night Ryu came home to the inn and went in his room only to be met by Rei and
Momo. He opened up the door and saw
that they were talking. He entered and sat down on a chair. Momo stood up along
with Rei "I'll see you later Rei. Its so good to
see you again." Momo gave Rei a kiss on the lips leaving him standing
there shocked. "So where have you been?" "Nowhere."
Ryu claimed knowing that Rei knew he was lying. "Momo told me that a
little kid saw you and Nina talking. I see your love life is no longer on hold
eh?" Rei said pervertedly. "Shut up and go to sleep. Tomorrow is the
end of the tournament and we will need our strength for Ramez." Ryu said
as he got up and slid his Dragon Armor off of his chest and tossed his Dragon
Blade to the side. Ryu crashed down onto the bed and fell asleep as Rei fell
asleep in the chair.
The next day the two equipped
all of their equipment and drawn on their cloaks. They walked toward the
tournament grounds and saw the announcer announcing the eight finalists who'll
be in the finals. "Doesn't this beat all. Me and you are going to be fighting each other and
considering how strong Ramez is. He'll be waiting for the victor at the
finals." Rei said with a laugh. Ryu looked at Rei and lowly said
"Don't transform during our fight. When we fight one of us will give up so
we'll be full strength during the finals. Then we'll attack him together. Even
if its against the rules we must kill him." Rei
just nodded and stared at the ring. Ryu though wasn't looking at the ring. He
looked up and saw that Nina was sitting in her royal chair along with her
father and mother. The announcer yelled "Ok now let the championship
rounds start! First up is Ramez and Slasher!" The
crowd cheer as the two warriors got in the ring. The bell rand and within a few
quick seconds Ramez's opponent flew out of the ring into the crowd. The crowd
cheered and whistled for his victory. After the second round it was Ryu's turn
and as he was approaching the ring the announcer yelled "Up next is our
mysterious fighter Dragon Knight along with Kite!" Ryu entered the ring
and looked at his opponent who was obviously a magician with pretty good
physical stats but was much more powerful with magic. The king stared at Ryu
and for a second started to rise but quickly sat down. "What is wrong
dear?" the queen asked as she signaled a knight to her side. "Its nothing. It's just that the fighter down there, Dragon
Knight, looks so familiar." The king said as Nina's eyes just opened wide
hoping the king wouldn't remember that it was that fighter who saved them all
on the rooftop. "Then again that Ramez character seems so familiar also.
Wait a minute isn't that the fighter that attacked us on the balcony along with
that villain Ryu and Rei!" Nina shook her head up and down as the queen
ordered the knight to round up the guards to go down there and capture Ramez. Ryu
quickly defeated his opponent and Rei defeated his opponent in a flash. Ramez's
opponent in the semi finals quit because he saw how powerful Ramez was in all
of his others match. The announcer started to yell again "Up next is the two mysterious warriors who seem to be friends. Dragon
Knight and Woren! Please get in the ring now!" They got in the ring and as
soon as the bell rang the just stood there looking at each other. Ryu nodded
and Rei just stepped out of the ring quitting the match leaving everyone
shocked. "And Dragon Knight is the winner by default!" the announcer
yelled. Ramez got into the ring where Ryu was and just looked at him. "I
see our two opponents are eager to finish the tournament off. What do you say
people! Lets give these two brave warriors a
cheer!" The announcer yelled as the crowd cheered
and guards surrounded the ring with their spears and weapons drawn. "Ramez
your under arrest for attempt of murdering the King of Wyndia." the
captain of the guards said. Ramez smirked and drew his Royal Sword pointing it
at Ryu. Rei jumped into the ring as he drew his twin daggers and Ryu drew his
Dragon Blade. "What’s going on? Your not supposed
to be in there Woren." The announcer said in a puzzled look. "Don't
arrest me," Ramez said as he laughed a bit "Arrest this Dragon Knight
and Woren, or should I say the notorious Ryu and Rei!" The king got up
from his seat and Rei and Ryu threw their cloaks off. "Guards arrest Ryu
and Rei also for kidnapping the princess on two accounts. "Well
doesn't this beat all, we're here to take you down but it looks like the
wyndian king wants to take us down." Rei said as Ryu yelled "Shut up
your highness and order your soldiers to stay back. They won't live if they
come any closer. Ramez for betraying your kind and killing those who are
innocent you shall die!" Ramez laughed some more and charged Ryu slashing
with his sword in both hands. Ryu blocked with his sword as Rei with his cat
like skills jumped over Ryu and slashed at Ramez with his daggers. Ramez jumped
back as one of the daggers slashed across his breastplate shattering the blade.
Rei stood there in shock staring at Ramez who was acting like he didn't matter and
stared at Ryu. "Come now young one. Lets test you
and your friends full capabilities." Rei and Ryu nodded and threw their
weapons to the side while Ramez did the same. Black lightning struck Ryu while
yellow lightning struck Ramez. A black orb formed around both of them as Rei
was enclosed in a red light and appeared infront of everyone in his weretiger
form. Ryu stood there in his kaiser human form while Ramez stood there in his
Czar human form. Both dragons picked up as Ryu's weapon increased the power of
his form causing it's aura to collide against Ramez's aura. "So its true! Ryu is a dragon!" The king said under his
breath barely high enough for the queen to hear who quickly ordered the knights
to back away. Ryu jumped at Ramez slashing with his hand gripping his sword in
both hands. Ramez side stepped and charged Rei only to be met by two sharp
claws. Ramez ducked and jumped over Rei's head kicking him in the back of the
head. Rei fell to the ground but quickly jumped back to his feet casting Myllonir
on Ramez. Ramez laughed showing that there was no effect on him as the
lightning struck him. Ryu sheathed his sword and put his hands together. "Magic ball!" Ryu yelled and a ball of pure magic
flew from his hands striking Ramez in the leg. Ramez shook his leg a bit
feeling a little pain but charged Rei sending his sword deep into Rei's gut. Rei
transformed back into his normal form and gripped the blade of the sword with
both hands and stared at Ramez in the eyes. "One down,
one pest left to go." With a smirk he pulled his sword out of Rei's
gut who slumped to the ground. Momo jumped into the ring and grabbed Rei in her
arms and quickly pulled him out of the ring with tears running down her cheeks.
Nina took flight into the sky and flew into the ring beside Ryu. "Princess,
come here to your champion and give me a big nice kiss. For when we get married
we'll rule the world. Me and you, and that pest over
there will no longer exist." Ramez growled pointing his blood stain sword
at Ryu. "Shut up Ramez, I will not let you take the princess for your own
evil greed. You will leave the world alone. The world doesn't belong to any
one. It belongs to everyone!" Ryu yelled increasing his power. The Dragon
Blade started to glow in a pure gold instead of a light gold and the aura kept
increasing in size until it was as big as the ring. The Dragon Blade sent a
huge power surge through Ryu's body. Ryu charged Ramez and as they clung swords lightning flew from both blades. Ryu started to
push Ramez back a bit clinching his teeth and Nina started to cast a spell. Ramez's
body started to freeze as ice grew around it but quickly shattered by Ramez's
own power. Ramez stopped Ryu from pushing him back by increasing his own power
and summoned a gust of wind to blow Nina back. "Ahhhh!"
She yelled. "Nina!" Ryu screamed and stared at Ramez's in the eyes. "You'll
pay for that!" "Ha I doubt you even have the power to back that
threat up!" Ramez laughed as he started to push Ryu back and quickly
released his sword from Ryu's ducking Ryu's slash and slashing the young dragon
in the stomach. Ryu flew back and looked at Ramez with fear in his eyes. Ramez
looked at the blood on his blade as Ryu took his free hand and covered the
wound. "Ryu what happened? You don't seem to be so bold now! I thought you
were supposed to be the most powerful dragon alive!" Nina jumped on top of
Ryu covering him with her body. "No you can't take his life!" She
yelled with tears in her eyes. Ryu looked at her as Ramez walked over to them
and picked Nina up with one hand by the top part of her dress. "Princess,
you will not interfere. He will die and you'll be my bride." Ramez set the
princess on her feet and slapped her. "Daughter!"
The king yelled drawing his own sword knowing that he was no match for Ramez. "Don't
touch her!" Ryu yelled and stood up as the power from his own body started
to destroy the ring. "So you do have some fight in you after all!" Ramez
growled. "Ramez it ends here. One of us will die and that will not be
me!" Ryu growled as he charged Ramez and slashed fiercely at his foe. Ramez
held up his sword but was knocked back. Ramez fliped to his feet and pointed
his hand at Ryu. "Czar beam!" Ramez chanted and a huge beam shot from
his hand at Ryu. Ryu pointed his hand at Ramez "Kaiser Blast!" He yelled
as a gold beam shot from his hand similar to dragon breath. The beams struck
blowing the ring apart trying to push one another back. As the beams faded away
leaving only a dust of smoke Ryu and Ramez charged each other. They clashed
sword and Ramez's Royal Sword broke in half and Ryu's blade went deep into
Ramez's chest. They stood there facing each other as the dust cleared with
Ryu's sword in Ramez's chest. "I see. Kaiser is the ultimate dragon
transformation, not because it has a powerful master or it is a dragon form. It
is because you are able to use your feelings to control its power. I was
mistaken my...prince...you.......are.....the.....most po...werful...."
Ramez said in his last breath as blood spewed from his mouth and he fell back
off of the Dragon Blade and onto the floor as his eyes started to shut. Ryu
walked away from Ramez's body toward Nina and suddenly the queen appeared
between Ryu and Nina with a spear in her hand and two guards beside her. Ryu
reverted to his normal human form because of the strain Kaiser was putting on
his body and dropped his sword from being dizzy from the lost of blood. "Ryu
your under arrest." The queen said with a laugh. "Mother
no!" Nina yelled and ran toward Ryu but was grabbed by two guards. "Let
me go!" The king stepped in front of the queen and faced her and looked
back. Ryu collapsed onto the floor unconscious as the king ran toward the young
dragon and picked him up. "Get me a doctor!" He yelled as the two
guards holding Nina ran off to find someone.
